Announcement of New CEO of CMCT
Dear Valued Partners and Stakeholders
Peter O’Meara was a much-loved CEO. His recent resignation and particularly his health prognosis has occasioned much grief and uncertainty. The Board wanted to act swiftly and decisively to quickly establish stability across the company.
Peter did a huge amount of work towards ensuring that CMCT remains independent in the Crown Cemeteries’ sector. The Board wants everyone to know that we and our other faith partners are absolutely ready to finish Peter’s work as he intended.
Consequently, the CMCT Board met recently to consider the appointment of a new CEO.
Lauren Hardgrove will be well known to many of you. For fourteen years she has been an integral member of the CMCT leadership team. For the last ten years, Lauren has led operations and client services inside CMCT. She has been responsible for all our services, sales, product/cemetery development and community engagement as well as for the Grief Care team’s establishment and growth. There is no aspect of the Company with which Lauren is not familiar.
The Board concluded that it would proceed immediately to the permanent appointment of Ms Hardgrove as the new CEO. His Grace Archbishop Fisher has given this his blessing.
Please join me in congratulating Lauren and join her in making such a success of which Peter would be proud.
Kind regards
Greg Smith SC Chair of CMCT
