Advent for Grieving Hearts

A time to “rest beside the weary road” until, once again, “a weary world rejoices.”

Advent offers hope to those who grieve by affirming that grief is a valid part of the season and by pointing to a larger, ultimate hope. This hope is rooted in the belief that God is present in sorrow, that there will be a future time of healing and restoration, and that Jesus entered the world amidst brokenness.

“The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.”  Matthew 4:16
